Vietnam Cuisine Culture Association makes debut

US News has listed Vietnam as one of the 30 best solo travel destinations alongside its neighbours Singapore and Thailand.

Mining Vietnam 2018 recorded a fully attendance of 2540 trade visitors from 19 countries and regions, with 115 group delegates from many renowned mining companies such as Vinacomin Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock; Cong Thanh Environment – Technology Co., LTD; Nui Phao – Masan Group; PT Vietmindo Energitama; etc.

In this edition, the 9 international group pavilions from Australia, China (3 groups), Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Singapore and United Kingdom joined in the event with major local distributors and technology integrators. Throngs of industry visitors scoured Mining Vietnam 2018 to source, with intentions to stay abreast of the cutting-edge technologies, innovations on offer, forge new business partnerships as well as strengthen their existing industry relationships.

“Mining Vietnam 2018 ended on a positive note with many exhibitors satisfied with visitors quality. The 3 co-located technical seminars, by Asia Miner, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, and MESLAB were also well attended with over 180 conference delegates in attendance over 3 seminar days, offering wide ranging topics from new tunnelling technologies, process safety, industrial communication and sustainable mining operations. Over the next editions the organizing team will strive to further expand the profile of the event to also introduce more mine and quarry safety products and programs to support the development of the industry. Cement, quarrying and construction sector products and services will also continue to be added to enhance the appeal of this event to a wider audience whilst maintaining technology core. Mining Vietnam 2018 warmly welcomed 137 participting companies from 18 countries and regions, the exhibitors highlighted with many impressive product, the latest mining equipment, technologies and services, ranging from automation, control equipment, engineering, to underground mining equipment, minerals processing and safety, etc.

Mr. Martin Lumb, Sales & Marketing Director R.O.W, MAXAM Tire International Ltd shared: “We come to Vietnam show to highlight our specialized tires, mining tires. This is the first time here at Mining Vietnam, we thought about Vietnam market because this is great opportunity for us to showcase our products. We’re having the factory now in Vietnam, so Vietnam is a really important market & we found that this is great opportunity to get close to our valued customers. We met many valuable contacts here & this exhibition is really well organized. We found supper support also & it’s really important for us to be a part of this event. We definitely would like to join Mining Vietnam next time.”

Mr. Mark Palmer, Business Development Manager –Asia, WEIR Minerals said: “We’re manufacturing market leader globally in the design, manufacture, installation & servicing of equipment and solutions for the mining, supplying manufacturing equipment. We know that for us it’s gonna take long time to enter the market in Vietnam but we would like to penetrate the market now to do the business & help for organizing Mining conference in Vietnam. We will love to coming back at Mining Vietnam 2020.”

Mr. Nguyen Chi Binh, Sales Manager, Sunward Intelligent Equipment Vietnam Co., Ltd shared: “The Sunward is a privately owned group with up to 200 product lines about ground treatment equipment, underground works, mining, tunnel drilling. This is the first time SUNWARD participated in the Mining Vietnam Expo and this time SUNWARD brought 2 new drilling equipment for open mines, a medium excavator. This year Mining Vietnam attracted many customers, investors, distributor and trading companies. Although it’s kind of small show compared to world exhibitions, but it’s the largest and most prestigious exhibition in the Mining industry in Vietnam.” Positive feedback from trade visitors and group delegates

Mr. Le Anh Tuan, QC Vice Manager – Vinacomin Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock said: “Our group delegation came to Mining Vietnam 2018 consists of 15 members from different department. We are primarily interested in gaining more insights and knowledge about the underground mining and coal mining technologies. Compared to the 2016 edition, this year’s exhibition is bigger in terms of scale and exhibits. We have fortunately found some potential suppliers – one of them is PET JSC. We are pleased with the results achieved after the visit and will definitely support Mining Vietnam in the coming years.”

Mr. Daniel Pardomuan Sitorus, Head of Geology Department – PT Vietmindo Energitama shared: “This is the first time we have visited Mining Vietnam. Definitely a great platform for networking and product sourcing, especially for us! In fact, I found some interesting mining equipment such as excavator, OTR tyre, Jigs, Crusher and Dumper. Some of the suppliers we are considering working further are the PET JSC and Fong Chuan Machinery Co., Ltd. We will go back to the next edition for sure.”

Ms. Pham Thi Phuong, Engineer – Nui Phao, Masan Group said: “This’s year exhibition displays quite a wide range of exhibits. We appreciate the configuration of the exhibitor booths in the main hall that facilitates our visit. The main purpose of visiting Mining Vietnam 2018 is to source for crusher and pulverizer, filters and accessories. And SEFAR is one of the suppliers we have found at Mining Vietnam 2018 that meet our manufacturing needs. Can’t wait to visit Mining Vietnam 2020.”

The first-choice education flatform for knowledge sharing

More than a product showcase, the three-day exhibition was also packed with concurrent educational programs, gathering more than 180 delegates and 20 well-known speakers, where delegates were able to learn, network and get immersed in industry insights and topical debates, as well as facilitated business and information exchange.

Multi Engineering Solutions Laboratory (MESLAB) organized a conference at Mining Vietnam 2018 entitled “Application & Product Development and Advanced Technology for Mining and Minerals Processing Oporations Management” with 70 delegations. The seminar was conducted by Mr. Phung Dinh Viet – Khue Giang Company and Mr. Nick Stone - Minearc Systems PTY Ltd.

The “Advances in Mining and Tunneling” conference organized by Hanoi University of Mining and Geology was attracted 61 delegates and trade visitors. The conference noted the prominent presence of Dr. Le Tien Dung, Dr. Dao Viet Doan, Dr. Le, Duc Vinh from Hanoi University of Mining and Geology and Dr. Do Ngoc Tuoc, Dr. Luu Van Thuc from Institute of Mining Science and Technology – VINACOMIN.

The Asia Miner magazine (Australia) was also onboard with the seminars entitled “CELEBRATING INNOVATION & SUSTAINABILITY”, hosted by many renowned industry speakers such as Craig Bradshaw (Nui Phao – Masan Group), Cameron Murphy (WEIR), Mark Le Pla (Bechtel Australia) and other speakers.
