Kido Group Joint Stock Company (stock code: KDC) has just announced first-quarter net revenue of VND2,879 billion, up 24% over the same period in 2021.
The group’s representative said that due to the early New Year season this year, sales of cooking oil products, which are the company’s main product, in the first quarter were affected compared to every year. Meanwhile, the consumption of ice cream products is also affected by the objective factor that is the prolonged cold weather in the North during and after the Lunar New Year.
In the opposite direction, Kido also recorded more sales compared to the same period last year from fresh cakes, coffee and milk tea chains and beverage products under the joint venture brand with Vinamilk.
Compared to the same period in 2021, Kido’s profit margin in the first quarter remained unchanged at 19%. A business representative said that in the context of high raw material prices and high transportation costs, this is a remarkable result. However, the ratio of expenses to total revenue increased slightly, making the company’s profit only flat over the same period, reaching 152 billion dong.

In the coming time, with the forecast of raw material prices and input costs to increase sharply, the company said that it will focus on monitoring the market and connecting with global partners to avoid shortage of raw materials. cooking oil production. Regarding the category, Kido’s representative said that it is still ranked second in terms of market share and remains the target of leading the market in the near future. With the ice cream industry, the enterprise aims to maintain its leading position and continue to expand its market share.
In the remaining product groups, the company said it aims to occupy the second position in the fresh bakery industry right this year after putting a new factory into operation in April… In addition, it is expected that the company also will soon officially enter new essential food products such as sauces, spices, fields with large space.
